A man who was seeking court protection under family law legislation said he had found out his wife was having an affair.
He also told Naas District Court that the woman had applied for a protection order four years ago and had moved out and then moved back in.

The man claimed she was planning to kick him out of the house and she had started a fight and then sought a court order.
“She got me arrested twice in two days,” he said.
He added: “I’m afraid I’ll be accused of something and have to be put out of the house.”
He said the woman, who was not present or represented, has been trying to drive him out of the house.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case for a fuller hearing to September 22.
