It was Sallins who lifted Kildare's 2025 Keogh Cup after a thrilling final showdown with St Laurences on Manguard Park.

The eventual winners were the best team for large swathes of the first half, but St Laurences rallied late in the half to reduce the gap to just three before the break.

Larries continued their fine form after the break and were the better side in the second. Trailing by two points with five minutes to go, Sallins won this game in a three-minute scoring blitz. Paul Farrelly’s two-pointer to level the game once again was followed by three points in just a couple of minutes.

Stephen Kelly hit first for Sallins before Alan Marshall and James Dalton added to their tallies to complete a run of five scores in seemingly no time at all. Larries couldn’t get out and their two-point lead had evaporated into a deficit of three.

Larries pushed on again late as the game got scrappy in injury-time, but the eventual winners held on for a 1-15 to 0-16 victory and Keogh Cup win.
