No money or staff available to tackle traffic issues at busy Kildare junction

An upgrade of Bodenstown Cross, between Sallins and Clane,  is needed  to help relieve the congestion and traffic build up, says Cllr Carmel Kelly.

According to Kildare County Council it is currently progressing a junction improvement project “that focuses on locations of interest identified by a road network collision analysis.”

But this junction has not been identified “and will not be considered.”

KCC also said there are no resources or funding available to progress an upgrade at this location at the present time because staff “are delivering several key projects as outlined in a  recent roads capital projects update.”
