Barriers needed to prevent caravan dwellers moving on to Kildare site

A call has been made for overhead barriers to be erected at a public car park.

Independent councillor Seamie Moore that they are required at the entrance to the facility at Fairgreen, Naas.

He told a Naas Municipal District meeting that these would prevent long term caravan parking.

Kildare County Council will examine appropriate measures to restrict access to the car park. The council pointed out  that any such height restrictions will impact on other potential uses, including recycling banks.
