Kildare County Council has been asked to tackle speeding on Maudlins Avenue in Naas.

Cllr Ger Dunne has called for a speed audit to be carried out.

Cllr Seamie Moore has called on KCC to reduce the noise created by passing road traffic on the route. Cllr Moore says the road surface needs to be upgraded to a "smooth low noise tarmac."

He pointed out the road surface is "rigid concrete and this coupled with a lack of speed control signs and traffic calming measures is creating serious concerns for local residents."
