A motorcyclist driving on the M7 in Kildare recently got more than they bargained for when they were stopped by Naas Roads Policing Unit (#NaasRPU).

NaasRPU were on patrol on the M7 when they observed the motorcyclist dangerously weaving through traffic.

Upon stopping the rider, it was discovered they were a Learner Permit holder.

They also had no valid vehicle insurance.

The motorcycle was seized and court proceedings will follow.

Penalties may include:

• A fine of up to €5,000

• A 2-year disqualification from driving

• Up to 6 months' imprisonment
