Pedestrian crossing upgrades are due to take place on the Main Street of Newbridge sometime today (July 7).
Kildare County Council (KCC) explained in a statement that it will be carrying out upgrade works in the [Kildare-]Newbridge Municipal District.
Specifically, KCC said that it intends to improve the pedestrian crossing near Newbridge Garda Station.
In addition, KCC intends to upgrade "traffic signals and [the] traffic controller, with minor civil works improvements [to commence today]."
Traffic and pedestrian management will be in place during these works, according to KCC.
Lastly, KCC said that the estimated duration of the works at each location is four to five days.
