Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the fatal crash
A truck driver in his 70s was killed in a fatal single vehicle road collision in the early hours of the morning on Thursday last.
Gardaí and emergency services are apealling for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a truck on the L2226 in Ballinderry, Co. Meath at around 5:00am on Thursday 10th July 2025.
The driver of the truck, a man aged in his 70s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body was removed from the scene to hospital for a post mortem examination.
No other injuries were reported and the road was closed for technical examination.

The road has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4.30am and 5.30am on the morning of Thursday 10th July 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
