Gardai investigating theft of two cars in Kildare

Vehicles were stolen in Maynooth and Newbridge

Gardai in Kildare are investigating the theft of two vehicles from two separate incidents.

Details of the thefts were given by Gda Brian Carroll from Newbridge Garda Station, who appeared on a KFM radio show on Wednesday, July 23 2025.

The first theft occurred in Greenfield Estate, Maynooth on July 20 last between 1am and 2am.

The homeowner awoke to find her car was taken from her driveway, a purple Mazda Demio, registration number 12TS2015.

Gardai are asking the public if they have any information on this car or have seen it parked up, to contact Maynooth Garda Station 01-6292380.

Meanwhile, gardai are investigating the theft of a car in Newbridge, between July 21 and July 22 between 6pm and 4.30am.

The car, a a black Toyota Vitz, registration number 10D137370, was taken from the Pairc Mhuire estate.

The vehicle was recovered crashed in Newbridge, and is now undergoing a technical examination.

Members of the public are being asked if they have any information, if they observed the vehicle being driven around Newbridge, or if they have dash-cam footage of the car.
