A free guided walking tour of Kildare town will run for four days later this month.
Kildare town Heritage Centre announced the tour yesterday (August 10 last).
According to the centre, participants will have the opportunity to "discover sacred landmarks, fascinating stories, and the legacy of St Brigid".
The centre also said that the tour will last for around one hour and "is suitable for all — just wear comfortable shoes!"
In addition, it issued the following appeal for donations: "Tours are free, but if you choose to enter St Brigid’s Cathedral, we kindly ask you to consider a small donation to support the upkeep of this treasured site."
The tour will start at the centre (R51 T189) and will take place on the following dates:
August 19, 20 and 21, 2025: 11am to 12pm
August 23, 2025: 12pm to 1pm.
