Changes could be on the way for the grounds of one County Kildare GAA club.

According to the planning permission application which is currently with Kildare County Council, applicant Niall Carroll, on behalf of Ballymore Eustace Gaelic Athletic Association Club, intends to make the changes to the club's grounds in Bishopsland, Ballymore Eustace.

The description of the application notes that the club is seeking permission to install low energy floodlights, consisting of six number lamp standards (20 metres in height), which would be located around the main playing pitch.

The club also intends to install three proprietary solar power generating car-ports (50.4 square metres each), to be located to the north of the tennis courts.

Furthermore, the club wants to install a solar panel (31 sq m) array to south facing roof of existing clubhouse.

Lastly, permission is being sought for the provision of ancillary facilities, which would include 10 bicycle parking stands.

The date received on the application is listed as August 19 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as September 22, 2025 and October 13, 2025.
