A number of leading experts in cardiology and research will be attending a national cardiac health event which will take place in North Kildare.
Organised by Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) Ireland ─ the national charity supporting patients and families who have lost someone to sudden cardiac death ─ the free Friends of CRY Day the event is aimed at families affected by a sudden cardiac death, as well as those living with an inherited cardiac condition.
According to CRY Ireland opportunity for families from across Kildare to engage with experts and to hear personal stories from people who have been affected by cardiac conditions.
Broadcaster, journalist and author Anton Savage will serve as master of ceremonies for the event, which will also feature a special guest, adventurer Damian Browne.

'FULL OF INSPIRATION AND CONNECTION'
Noelle Condon, the chairperson of CRY Ireland, said: that the Friends of CRY Day "promises to be full of inspiration and connection", with 'Embracing Hope, Resilience and Facing the Future Together' as the theme of the event.
She added: "We are delighted to offer a space where families can hear from Ireland’s leading experts in the fields of cardiology, research, bereavement and family support.
"I am delighted to invite families from Kildare who may be navigating life with a young person living with an inherited cardiac condition, or who have been impacted by a sudden cardiac death to join us for this very special event."
The Friends of CRY event will take place in Barberstown Castle Hotel, Straffan, on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
It will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
This event is free to attend. However, it should be noted that registration is essential.
