A GAA club based in County Kildare intends to expand its gym building, according to a recently submitted planning permission application.

Sallins GAA Club is seeking permission from Kildare County Council to make the changes on its premises, which is located on Chapel Lane in Sallins.

According to the description of the application, Sallins GAA Club specifically plans to make a revision to its gym building. Sallins GAA Club previously sought planning permission from KCC for the gym building back in September of 2023.

The proposed changes being sought include:

  • The addition of a proposed mezzanine floor and access stairs
  • The rearrangement of the ground-floor layout to accommodate the stairs
  • Three proposed, high-level windows on the southern elevation
  • A revision to the external finish on all four elevations and the roof

The date received on the application is listed as September 19 last.

The submission-by and due dates are listed as October 23, 2025 and November 13, 2025.
