A programme centred on "community development work, leadership and inclusion" is due to take place in a North Kildare university next month.

County Kildare Leader Partnership (CKLP), through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) has announced that it is offering a Level 7 Certificate in "Community Development Work, Leadership and Inclusion".

It will be delivered by Maynooth University’s Department of Adult and Community Education.

According to CKLP, the programme is aimed at those in Kildare who wish to assist their community and who also "believe in inclusion and change".

CKLP added: "This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills, strengthen your leadership, and be part of real change in your community."

The programme will take place in Maynooth University on Mondays, with three Saturday sessions also included.

It should be noted that places in this programme are limited.

Those wishing to learn more about the programme or those who wish to apply can contact Riona Mulligan on rioana@countykildarelp.ie or Wayne on wayne@countykildarelp.ie.
