Kildare court attendees blamed for litter problem on this main street

People attending district court and circuit court sittings in Naas have been criticised because of a worsening litter problem on the main street.

A call has been made for action to be taken "given the significant number of court sittings now taking place."

It came from independent councillor Bill Clear who wants Kildare County Council to install a solar-powered compactor bin outside the building.

Cllr Clear, a long time Naas Tidy Towns activist, said TT volunteers "are noticing an increase in litter and are frequently required to pick up rubbish from outside the courthouse."
