Information is being sought about arson attacks on local authority homes across Kildare.

Independent councillor Bill Clear has asked KCC to provide information about how many housing units have been damaged as a result of arson attacks in recent years in the Naas area.

“I’m aware of a number of arson attacks and in at least one case near Naas it was a case of mistaken identity and there have been many cases where dwellings were targeted by mistake,” said Cllr Clear.
