Naas Hockey Club is proud to announce its annual fundraising initiative, "Distance to a Dream," taking place on Sunday, October 19 2025, from 9:30am to 3:30pm at two Kildare locations, St. Mary's Secondary School and Naas Sports Centre.
The ambitious six-hour walking event will see club members, volunteers, and community supporters complete 2,254 laps across both hockey pitches, symbolising the club's commitment to building a stronger future for hockey in Naas.
With a goal of €10,000, the funds raised will directly support Naas Hockey Club's ongoing development, including facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and youth development programs. The club is seeking donations from community members and local businesses to help achieve this vital goal.
How the Community Can Support:
● Participate: Join the walking event at either location
● Bake: Donate treats and home-baked goodies for the bake sale
● Volunteer: Help staff the event throughout the day
● Donate: Make contributions in person on the day or by contacting Robyn at 087 630 8885
● Sponsor: Local businesses can receive promotional recognition on Instagram and through branded signage at donation tables
The event will include bake sales at both venues, offering homemade treats and refreshments throughout the day. All proceeds will contribute to the fundraising goal.
For more information about Distance to a Dream or to arrange business sponsorship, please contact Robyn at 087 630 8885.
