Woman is afraid to sleep because husband is drinking and taking drugs, Kildare court told

'He's aggressive and bullying every day'

A woman is allegedly afraid to sleep because her husband was drinking and taking drugs.

She came to Naas District seeking protection and said  that she called the gardaí following an incident on July 23 when, she claimed, she was drunk and on drugs.

She further alleged that he is aggressive and bullying to her every day “but it’s worse when he is drinking and taking drugs.”

The man was not represented or present at the hearing.

Judge Miriam Walsh granted an interim protection order. She  said this would be served by the gardaí and she adjourned the matter to November 24.
