A "Family Hub" consisting of 42 rooms has been proposed for North Kildare.
Old Hill Developments Limited is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) has proposed to construct the premises on the Station Road in the Old Hill region of Leixlip.
According to the description contained within the application, a "Family Hub" is "a form of supported temporary accommodation specifically designed for families who are experiencing homelessness, typically sourced from the local authority social housing waiting list or homeless register".
The description also notes that the proposed building would be three storeys tall and would contain a total of 42 family rooms, including: universal accessible rooms, dining facilities, living area, play and homework rooms and an outdoor child play area.

In addition, Old Hill Developments Ltd is seeking permission for "landscaping and all associated site works, including a pumping station".
The date received is listed as December 11 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as January 23, 2026 and February 13, 2026.
The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that Old Hill Developments Ltd was established earlier this year in June.
Its principal activity is listed as the "construction of residential and non-residential buildings".
Old Hill Developments Ltd has a registered address listed as Borranstown, County Dublin (A84 EH96).
