Gardaí based in County Kildare are investigating an alleged burglary incident which is said to have taken place at a residential property.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this alleged crime, a garda spokesperson replied: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged burglary of a residential property in Kilcullen, County Kildare that occurred on December 19 last between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.30pm."

The spokesperson added that the investigation remains ongoing.
