Plans for a €722,000 extension have been proposed for Scoil Uí Ríada on Brayton Park Road in Kilcock, Co. Kildare.

The development would involve the erection of three temporary single-storey units along with a permanent single-storey extension to the east of the existing school building.

One of the temporary units would be a prefabricated classroom measuring 112 square metres, while a second classroom unit would measure 174 square metres.

A third temporary structure would be a prefabricated storeroom with a floor area of 33 square metres.

The permanent extension would be a single-storey building with a total floor area of 489 square metres. The new accommodation is intended to house a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Unit, including two classrooms, a central activity space, a daily living skills area, an office, two quiet areas, toilets and other associated spaces.
