Plans have been lodged for a €2.6 million logistics centre development at Kilcullen Business Campus, Co. Kildare.
The application seeks permission for amendments to a regional distribution warehouse or logistics centre previously permitted.
The proposed changes include alterations to the internal layout of the building, with a reduction in gross floor area from 3,238 sq m to 2,583 sq m.
The plans also provide for the inclusion of first-floor ancillary offices, staff facilities and a drivers’ waiting area within the main building.

At ground-floor level, part of the warehouse space would be changed to a truck maintenance area, incorporating three service bays within the existing building envelope.
Other alterations are also proposed, including the construction of a 5.6-metre-high truck wash facility. Minor changes to soft and hard landscaping and to the permitted car parking layout form part of the application, along with all associated site development works.
The application has been submitted by CMT Transport Ltd, with Murphy Design & Build Solutions Ltd acting as architect.
The site extends to approximately 1.54 hectares, with a proposed overall floor area of about 2,651 sq m.
