Planned drainage works in this Kildare town will cause significant disruption

Drainage works will cause “significant but necessary disruption” in Barrack Street, Ballymore Eustace, according to Cllr Evie Sammon, who asked Kildare County Council to start a traffic calming project on the street at the same time.

She said this would  avoid further disruption at a later time and (would) “avail of the cost savings through shared traffic management systems.”

KCC said it will ensure that “traffic calming and drainage works are completed in a cost efficient and timely manner.”

It is proposed to implement a traffic count along Barrack Street by the end of January and “schedule a meeting to review the two schemes and finalise the next steps on the project.”
