Plans granted for €2.6m 'Neighbourhood Centre' in Newbridge, Kildare

A €2.6m “Neighbourhood Centre” has been given the go-ahead for a location in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

The complex – located in Piercetown, Station Road, Newbridge – is to include a takeaway; convenience store with ancillary off-licence; a number of retail units; a coffee-shop; delicatessen; and medical units.

According to Construction Information Services, planning ref 2560695 was approved on February 24 2026, having been submitted on June 26 2025.

The application included a single storey and two storey “Neighborhood Centre” development consisting of:

• A convenience store with ancillary off-licence use complete with coffee shop, delicatessen, toilets and associated works at ground floor level;

• Three retail units and one takeaway unit at ground floor level;

• Two medical units and two retail units at first floor level;

• Car parking, boundary treatments, signage, bin storage, new site entrance / exit, landscaping and all associated site development works.

All on previously approved site Planning ref no. 22/1003

The architect for the development is Marbo Consultants Limited
