A man used somebody else’s bank card to pay for flights and tickets for five people to see a game between Premier League teams Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
This was the allegation made at a Naas District Court sitting.
Before the court was Martin Harty, 32, whose address was given as 4 Alleys Lane, Roscrea, Tipperary.
Sgt Mary Meade said it will be alleged the defendant made the booking with travel brand Celtic Horizon Tours at Maynooth Business Park on November 12, 2014.
Sgt Meade said initially €164 was paid over and the defendant allegedly phones again to increase the number of people to five.
Sgt Meade said the total amount involved was €1,320 and the card used belonged to a Russian national, who was unaware of what had happened.

It was stated on the defendant’s behalf that he had handed over compensation to a garda.
The matter was adjourned by Judge Desmond Zaidan.
