A housing estate located in North Kildare has been Taken In Charge (TIC) by Kildare County Council following a 'long wait'.
The decision was heard at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD) meeting, which took place on Friday, April 10 last.
Councillors representing this MD were asked to consider the TIC of the Castledawson region of Maynooth.

It was noted that Kildare County Council had previously circulated a report on the matter with the councillors.
Fine Gael Cllr Tim Durkan proposed the TIC of the estate, while Labour Party Cllr Angela Feeney seconded the proposal.
Speaking about the matter, Cllr Durkan noted: "It has been a long wait to TIC this estate."
He also emphasised to Kildare County Council that a trip hazard was present in one area of the estate.
In addition, Cllr Feeney said that she wanted to acknowledge a former Green Party county councillor for the MD, Peter Hamilton, for 'the work he had previously put into the project'.
Anyone seeking further information about the TIC process can visit KCC's official website.
