Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following an alleged serious assault at a commercial premises on Newbridge Road, Naas in Co Kildare late on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred at the Applegreen service station at approximately 10pm.
A man, aged in his 30s, was later treated at Naas General Hospital for injuries described as serious but not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
A technical examination of the scene has since been carried out as part of the investigation.
Gardaí are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

In particular, they are seeking individuals who were in the Newbridge Road area between 9:30pm and 10:30pm and who may have video footage, including dash-cam recordings.
Investigating officers have asked that any such footage be made available to them as they continue their enquiries.
