A woman in her 40's was pronounced dead at Connolly Hospital a short time after the accident, while another woman in her 40's remains in a serious condition in hospital. The incident happened in the Hartstown Road area of Blanchardstown at approximately 2.40am this morning. The three occupants of the car, all males in their 20's, were uninjured in the incident. The driver of the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving and was brought to Blanchardstown Garda Station where he was charged and released to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court this month. The road has since reopened following a forensic examination.
