Advice offered to tag holders as eFlow customers brace themselves for travel disruption next week

Toll station
eFlow have confirmed that all of their tag holders will be affected from next week onwards when the tag ceases to operate on a number of toll booths around the country. The main one that will affect Kildare motorists is the M7/M8 toll booth on the Portlaoise road, while toll booths on the N25 in Waterford and one the M1 near Drogheda will no longer be passable by using the eFlow tag. The reasons for this is a disagreement between the Celtic Roads Group, who operate the three roads in question, and the Transport Infrastructure Ireland, who run the eFlow service. "At present, in order for a tag to be recognised as you pass through a toll plaza, the operator of the toll (CRG) must have an Agreement with the tag provider (eFlow). Unfortunately, due to reasons outside of our control, an agreement has not been made," read a statement released to eFlow customers. "This issue only effects eFlow tag holders. All other tags from other tag providers will continue to work on all toll roads." "If you need a tag that works on all tolled roads in Ireland then you will need to close your account with us(eFlow) and open an account with an alternative tag provider. You will find a list of tag providers here:http://etoll.ie/getting-a-tag/irish-tag-companies/index.xml."
