Road in Newbridge 'too dangerous' for school kids to walk on

School children crossing sign
Kildare County Council has been asked to install traffic calming measures on a stretch of road in Newbridge which a councillor claimed is too dangerous for local school children.
Councillor Fiona McLoughlin Healy is concerned for the safety of pupils of Newbridge Educate Together National School and Gael Scoil Chill Dara who regularly use the Green Road.
The politician called on the Council to review the traffic calming on the Road in a bid to reduce speeding traffic 'which continues to render it too dangerous' for children to walk to
and from the two schools.
The public representative wants to raise the issue at the next meeting of Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District in Naas on May 17.
