Funding approval for Luas to Lucan along with a number of other areas

Luas
A village near Co Kildare is set for the Luas under a new Government plan. The Luas is coming to Lucan as one part of the Government's new €115bn infrastructure plan, which will see schools, hospitals, homes, roads and other transport links built over the next 20 years. Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford are designated as the other major urban centres for expansion, meaning they will get special attention when it comes to infrastructure investment. Funding has been allocated for the planning stages of new Luas routes from Dublin city centre to Bray, Lucan, Finglas and Poolbeg. Dublin Bus will receive a substantial cash injection to improve connectivity.
