The service will run nine times each day and will service Naas Hospital and Blanchardstown IT.
Local TD Frank O'Rourke has spoken of his delight at the announcement of the new service, which is something he has campaigned for rigorously since being elected.
“As I have said before, this service is an important public transport link, linking significant population centres such as Naas, Maynooth and Blanchardstown, connecting three hospital and two third level institutions," he said.
“I am happy for the residents in all towns and villages along this route. Since getting elected, I have being campaigning for an improved public transport services for commuters in North Kildare and we are making progress. I will continue to make representations to have further improvements made," concluded Deputy O’Rourke.
