Blindboy coming to Naas to record new episode of popular podcast show

blindboy
Well-known Irish entertainer Blindboy Boatclub will be appearing at the Moat Theatre next year where he will be recording an edition of his popular podcast. The Blindboy podcast is one the most contemporary listener shows in Ireland at present, and he will be appearing in the Naas venue next April as part of his tour around Ireland. Outspoken, informed and empathetic, Blindboy engages his audience with an unusual touch of realism. There is a very authentic feeling of "freedom" he  exhumes which allows his listeners and participants to openly speak their mind without judgement and no topic off limits - certainly an air of belonging encircling the space you find yourself in when listening or in company of Blindboy.   His latest innovative creation, The Blindboy podcast not only espouses mental health issues but reaches further into an eclectic spectrum of current topics from gun laws to feminism, racism or a bit of history. Blindboy has it covered.   Yet to be announced, the interviewee appearing at the Moat Theatre will join an illustrious set of previous guests of the podcast. Economist David McWilliams, Civil Rights Activist Bernadette Devlin McAliskey, Broadcaster Vincent Browne, Comedian Tommy Tiernan, Author Roddy Doyle and Hollywood Director Spike Lee have all been interviewed by Blindboy and broadcasted to his audience of over 1 million people around  the  Globe.   “We are ecstatic to have Blindboy record his world famous podcast here in Naas and we hope to have many more new and exciting shows in the future”, says Manager, Celine Garvey.   Celine continues “We will be launching the Moat’s Art Initiative which features an exhibition area serving coffee and cakes very soon. The Cuidiú Breastfeeding Group meet here on Thursday mornings, and the Country Market will be here on Fridays in the New Year. Our Panto Robin Hood opens on Friday 30th November. It’s all go so make sure you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all the news.”   “We made the Blindboy Podcast announcement to an audience of over 70,000 people while we were hosting the @Ireland Twitter account so all in all, it’s been an amazing week.  There are only 200 tickets available for this show so we expect the phones to be hopping when the tickets go on sale at 11am on Thursday, 22nd November.”   The Blindboy Podcast will be recorded on Friday, 5th April 2019 in the Moat Theatre, Naas. Tickets €28.50 from www.moattheatre.com or 045 88 30 30
