Kildare Village shoppers could soon have a new car park with handy shuttle bus service

A decision is due from Kildare Co Council on Tuesday about a planned Kildare Village car park. The owners of the retail complex, Value Retail Dublin Ltd  applied for permission to build a 'managed car park' with a shuttle bus service accommodating 345 spaces. The proposed development is on the Kildare-Nurney Road beside the Junction 13 Roundabout and will be on a site measuring 0.94 hectares.   The land is owned by Greyabbey Investments Ltd with an address at Leeson Street in Dublin. The development also includes works to the existing vehicle access off the R415 (Kildare to Nurney Road) Also in the designs is a bus shelter. The planning documents include boundary fencing, signage and lighting.
