Outdoor sports equipment ought to be provided at a public park in Naas.

Independent Ireland councillor Ger Dunne has asked Kildare County Council to install outdoor athletic sports equipment for use by the public in Monread Park.

Some eight years ago similar equipment was unveiled at the Naas Lakes area.

At the time this consisted of 16 pieces, some of which are wheelchair accessible, at 8 different stations to facilitate circuit training and a fitness trail adjacent lakes.

This was a Naas Tidy Towns project.
