Serviced sites for houses are being advertised for sale by Kildare County Council.
A request for KCC to begin “the readvertisement” of the sites from September-December 2026 “with a view to reactivate and progress the scheme as a matter of urgency” was made by Fine Gael councillors William Durkan and Ivan Keatley, at a KCC meeting.
The council says the sites at Clogherinkoe will be advertised for two weeks until August 11. The application portal will open on Wednesday, 12 August for three weeks. The details of the scheme will be available on the KCC website.
Serviced sites are plots of land prepared by local authorities - also known as the Ready to Build Scheme. They are equipped with essential infrastructure like water, electricity, and wastewater, and sold at a discount for individuals to build their principal private residences.
