Tragic loss: The late Joe Drennan
A man has been arrested in relation to a crash in Limerick that claimed the life of talented young journalist Joe Drennan last month.
Gardaí have today confirmed they have arrested a man in relation to the fatal crash on the Dublin Road in Castletroy, Co. Limerick, on October 13.
Joe Drennan was a pedestrian when he was struck by a vehicle involved in a crash with another car. The 21-year-old Laois native was a talented student studying at the University of Limerick.
The man arrested is aged in his late teens and is currently detained under Section 42 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1999, at a Garda Station in Limerick City.
Investigations are ongoing.
