A multi-agency operation involving the Coastguard saw a child rescued from the sea near Dún Laoghaire during Storm Kathleen.
The Coast Guard and gardaí confirmed to RTÉ that they were involved in the incident which happened at around 8.20pm on Saturday night off the east pier at Dún Laoghaire.
