Huge €1m drug bust in Dublin Airport sees gardaí arrest and charge a man in his 30s

A man in his 30s has been arrested and charged having been caught with almost €1m of drugs at Dublin Airport.

Gardaí arrested the man in his 30s following a cannabis seizure by Revenue Officers this Tuesday, July 9.

49.5kgs of herbal cannabis, valued at approximately €990,000, was seized.

The man was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a North Dublin garda station.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ), Court No. 4, in Dublin this Wednesday, July 10, at approximately 10.30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
