Weather expert warns public to be cautious amid cold snap in the coming mornings

Weather expert Alan O'Reilly has warned that temperatures are set to drop tonight, February 5, 2025.

In a post on X/Twitter, the forecaster said that the drop in temperatures could lead to the risk of black ice forming and urged the public to 'take care' in the morning and again on Friday morning.

Met Éireann have also forecasted that tonight will be cold, calm and clear with a slight to sharp frost, along with some icy stretches with lowest temperatures of -3 and +2 degrees.

Thursday morning will be cold and crisp with a widespread frost and some icy stretches but overall, it will be a dry and sunny day with highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.
