The 2026 St Patrick’s Day Parade in Newbridge, Co Kildare brought colour, community spirit and a strong sense of unity to the town.
The parade, organised by the Newbridge St Patrick’s Day Committee, celebrated this year’s theme, “Marching as One — Volunteers and Business, the Heart of a Community,” with a vibrant display of local pride.

Crowds gathered from early morning as the parade got underway at 11.45am, with voluntary organisations, community groups and local businesses taking centre stage.
Floats, performances and walking groups highlighted the contribution of those who give their time, skills and investment to sustain community life in Newbridge.
In the lead-up to the parade, the organising committee emphasised the importance of recognising the “vital role that voluntary organisations, community clubs and local businesses play in building and sustaining community life,” a message that was clearly reflected throughout the day’s festivities.
Groups were encouraged to place volunteers at the heart of their entries, and many answered that call, proudly showcasing their work while also promoting opportunities for others to get involved.
The result was a lively and inclusive parade that not only marked St Patrick’s Day, but also paid tribute to the people and organisations that form the backbone of the Newbridge community.
