Kildare family desperate for news on beloved pet whippet 'Mica' missing over 2 weeks

A Co Kildare family are desperately appealing for information that may indicate the whereabouts of their beloved pet dog who is missing over 2 weeks.

'Mica' is a female whippet and she is 4 years old. She is missing from Ballykelly, Monasterevin since 2 May 2019, and she is mainly white with one light brown ear (left), a brown patch over her right eye and some brown dots on her right ear.

Mica is neutered and micro chipped.

Speaking to KildareNow, Mica's worried owner said: "It's so sad there is no news of her, the kids are devastated as we have had her since she was a puppy. Her dad which we had for 10 years died of natural causes last summer and that was hard enough but not knowing what has happened to mica is much harder to deal with."

According to her owners, the most recent sighting of Mica was on 2 May when a passerby reportedly saw her on the R414 Rathangan to Monasterevin Road running in the direction of Lackagh.

If anyone has any information on her location they are asked to please contact Mica's owners on 0874172047.
