'Rat run' road in Naas is 'highly dangerous' - Council told

Cllr Seamie Moore has called for a 'highly dangerous rat-run' route in Naas to be made one-way.

The roadway in question runs along Canal Road from Tandy’s Bridge to the rear of the Town Hall.

Cllr Moore said: "In my opinion this is a highly dangerous, single-channel route with two-way traffic - and no footpaths.

"It's closure as a rat-run route and two-way traffic has been an objective throughout the full six years of the Naas Development Plan since 2011.

Cllr Moore wants to raise the issue at the next meeting of the Naas Municipal District on Tuesday, October 17.
