All 65 Rose of Tralee contestants are currently sampling some of the best facilities and activities that the county of Kildare has to offer as they spend the day touring around the area.

The ladies are being shown around the K Club, Kildare Village, the Japanese Gardens and the National Stud in what is sure to be a tiring day, while they also stopped off at the Kildare County Council offices in Naas earlier this morning.

At the time of writing they are currently at the K Club and they should have an excellent tour guide for the rest of the day in the form of Kildare's Rose of Tralee representative Meabhdh O'Sullivan, who is from Newbridge.

Mr. Peter Carey, CEO, Kildare County Council said: "Kildare County Council, in partnership with Kildare Fáilte, will welcome all the 2016 Roses, that will compete for the title of Rose of Tralee later in the month, to experience a day in Kildare.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to promote Kildare as a county to visit and spend some time exploring and enjoying wealth of experiences.

"We wish the Rose contestants from near and far, as well as their families, a great day out in Kildare, and we hope that they will gather wonderful memories to share with friends and relations."
