Works due for new play area in one Kildare region
The update was revealed at a recent Kildare County Council meeting
Kildare County Council (KCC) has announced that works are due for a new play area in one County Kildare region.
The information was provided to a councillor at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, July 15 last.
The discussion about the new play area arose when Social Democrats Cllr Chris Pender submitted the following question at the meeting: “Can KCC provide an update on the plans for the new play area at Moorefield Park in Newbridge, and confirm when the works are expected to begin and be completed?”
In response to his query, KCC had this to say: “The contractor appointed to do the works has indicated a start date of mid-October.”
Following this, Cllr Pender told KCC that while he was happy to see that a contractor appointed to the project, he also asked KCC: “What is causing the delay?”
This prompted KCC official Simon Wallace to tell Cllr Pender that KCC is waiting on the contractor to arrive to the area in order to commence the works.
