Holland and Barrett announces new jobs for Kildare following €17.5m investment
Recruitment will be focused on Kildare Town and its surrounding areas
Health food retailer Holland and Barrett has announced the creation of new jobs in County Kildare, following a €17.5 million investment.
The latest move from the business is the result of a partnership it has with Road Truck Services (RTS), which is located in close proximity to Kildare Village Retail Outlet.
Holland and Barrett explained that, starting from Sunday, November 1, 2026, fulfilment of its Irish online orders will move from the UK to Ireland through an expanded three-year partnership, which expands on the eight-year business relationship it already has with RTS.
As a result, €8.2m will be invested into a new digital fulfilment model, and a further €9.3m will go towards existing retail fulfilment operations with RTS, bringing the total investment to €17.5m.
NEW ROLES
The partnership between Holland and Barrett and RTS is expected to support the creation of 20 additional RTS roles, alongside agency support during peak periods.
Moreover, the creation of a further 6-10 indirect roles, with recruitment focused on Kildare Town and surrounding areas, is also expected to occur.
Welcoming the announcement, Mick McConnell, managing director of RTS, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with Holland & Barrett, which has gone from strength to strength over the past eight years.”
He added: “Growing together has enabled us to expand our warehousing and transport capabilities, strengthen our business and secure other high-profile contracts.”
Holland Barrett operates 70 stores and employs 419 colleagues throughout Ireland.
