Kildare horse trainer objecting to phone mast near his stables

A horse trainer is objecting to plans for a telecoms mast near Kildare Town. Three Ireland has appealed to An Bord Pleanála against Kildare Co Council refusal of planning permission for the 21-metre-high phone mast on the grounds of football club, Kildare Town AFC, the Irish Examiner reports today. John Oxx - who trained 2009 Epsom Derby and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Sea The Stars and operates stables near the proposed mast site - is one of a number of objectors to the project.     Oxx served as chairman of the Irish National Stud and was also chairman of the Irish Racehorse Trainers' Association in the past. Three Ireland claimed local bloodstock and equine industries would benefit from the development and claimed their concerns about the mast were “unjustified.”
