The National Lottery have launched an appeal to find the lucky holder of a EuroMillions Plus winning ticket which was won on September 26 this year, which is worth approximately €500,000 and the winner has yet to come forward to collect their winnings with the deadline for collection being Christmas Day.
The ticket, a €7 Quick Pick, was purchased the day before the draw, September 25, at the Kilmoon Service Station in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, and it is believed that the lucky winner is from the surrounding areas.
The winning numbers in the draw were 17, 31, 37, 40 and 46.
According to the National Lottery Rules, the ticket holder has 90 days to come forward meaning the lucky punter has until Christmas Day to claim the huge sum of cash.
National Lottery Chief Executive, Dermot Griffin, said: “There is somebody out there with a EuroMillions ticket worth €500,000 so we are appealing to our players to check their tickets carefully. The deadline for this prize is Christmas Day (December 25) so we would love to see them in our Winners’ Room before Christmas so they can celebrate the holiday season in style.”
According to the National Lottery website, any unclaimed prizes "go to promote the National Lottery which in turn will increase the funds raised for good causes."
