An alleged burglary in a rural County Kildare townland has prompted an investigation by An Garda Síochána (AGS).

It follows after reports circulated on social media of an alleged string of burglaries in the Two Mile House region, which allegedly occurred between October 18 last and October 25 last.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about these allegations, a spokesperson for AGS explained that gardaí are investigating an alleged burglary that occurred in Mylerstown (which is located in close proximity to Two Mile House) between the hours of 5am on October 18 last and 2026 and 1.30 am on October 25 last.

However, they also emphasised: “No other burglaries were reported in the locality.”

The spokesperson concluded by adding that the investigation into the alleged Mylerstown burglary is ongoing.
