The four vehicles were seized on Captain's Hill, Leixlip, Kildare
During recent MIT operations on Captain's Hill, Leixlip, KC Roads Policing Unit seized a total of four vehicles:
- Three learner permit holders were driving unaccompanied.
- One vehicle was seized for no insurance.
A garda spokesperson said of the offences: “Let’s be clear: learner permit holders must be accompanied by a qualified driver at all times. There are no exceptions. Driving unaccompanied puts you and other road users at risk.
“No insurance. No excuses. Driving without insurance is a serious breach of the Road Traffic Act which will result in a court appearance.
“KC Roads Policing Unit will continue to enforce the law. Ignore the rules, and you risk having your vehicle seized. Drive legally. Drive responsibly. Get there safely.”
